Purpose of job:Advising clients in relation to corporate insurance matters.

Key responsibilities
  • Working in conjunction with a partner, advising clients in the insurance sector (both live and legacy) on a broad range of non-contentious issues, both transactional and non-transactional
  • Managing and developing existing client relationships with the relevant client relationship partner
  • Assisting with the development of templates and other know-how and presenting at internal and external events
  • Assisting with pitches for new clients

Key Relationships
You will enjoy the support of and work closely with the wider Corporate team.

Experience and Knowledge
Associate (1pqe+) with corporate insurance focus.
  • Experience of Part VII transfers of insurance business in both general and life sectors is desired but not required.
  • Transactional work in the corporate insurance sector including reinsurance transactions and M&A.
  • Experience of the regulatory regime for insurance (preferably both for risk carriers and intermediaries) and familiarity with Solvency II and the PRA and FCA regime including authorisation processes, capital requirements and conduct rules and the SM&CR.
  • Some experience of advising on product wordings is desired but not essential.
