The role is to provide site supervision ensuring the effective delivery of the contract. Working with the Shift Supervisor to contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices.

Job Purpose

• To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with client expectations.
• Working as a team towards specified KPI targets.
• To be proactive and reactive to the Health, Safety and Security of the site and all personnel.
• To react and respond to all Emergency Response (ER) actions within the Main Gate.

General Accountabilities

• Remain proficient in the ER role of the Main Gate.
• Remain compliant with specific Dow ER policies, procedures and responses.
• Regular communication with Manager to guarantee smooth operation of the contract delivery.
• Ensure understanding and adhere to client and company policies and procedures.
• To keep all mandatory training requirements current.
• To complete vehicle/personnel searches and site patrols, reporting all findings.
• To ensure site personnel are adhering to site rules and to escalate if required.
• To remedy or escalate and gaps noticed within the site security.
• To be trained and competent in both Main and South Gate Operations.
• Provide cover (when available) for any operational gaps to maintain contract delivery.
• To provide innovations in a view of continually improving the standard of service.
• Have complete understanding of guidelines set out in the MSS Group Company Handbook.
• To conduct yourself in a professional and helpful manner.
• To prioritise current tasks and workload effectively.

Health and Safety Accountabilities

• Understanding of risk assessments prior to commencing of relevant task.
• Ensure any shortfalls or deficiencies in risk assessments are reported, rectified and maintained.
• Report hazards and raise any Health and Safety concerns, escalating when required.
• To adhere to relevant PPE levels as required.
• To assist in the training of any new starters to achieve a competent level to operate the South Gate.

The role includes a robust training program at Dow’s South Gate to train the successful candidate to transfer to the site’s Main Gate

The rate at South Gate is £10.04 per hour before moving to the salary mentioned in the Main Gate.

The Main Gate position also includes an annual payment of £5000 shift allowance

Overtime is also available and frequent

Flexibility is required for emergency cover
