Our rapidly growing Pall site inIlfracombeis recruiting for aControls Systems Engineerto provide support formanufacturing systemsincludingsoftware and hardwareonproduction equipment as well as new equipment projects, being the voice of software and hardware for equipment validation, system administration, deployment, development, and support of all relevant equipment.

Main Duties:

Responsibilities for the following:
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for software/hardware related issues and queries.
  • Participate in projects or teams
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of relevant hardware / software.
  • Support local manufacturing systems in your area of expertise
  • Ensure appropriate related procedures are enforced.
  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.
  • Diagnose problems and carry out calibration/ verification or modification etc.
  • Stay ahead of technical aspects of Knowledge & Key Skills to help further ability to support.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Record all support activities.
  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.
  • Maintain an up to date record on compliance training, in relevant business systems.
Experience and Knowledge required:
  • At least 5 years relevant, on job experience within Controls Systems
  • PLC Hardware and peripherals (Rockwell/Omron/Siemens/Mitsubishi/Fanuc)
  • PC Operating Systems, (Win NT to Win 10)
  • KNoeldge of Rockwell FactoryTalk : SQLManagement Studio, ProductionCentre, FTTransaction Manager would be an advantage
  • Experience of design and integration of PLC and SCADA based control system solutions
  • Experience of industrial Ethernet network.
  • Experience within manufacturing/production environments
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and their integration with PLC software / hardware.
  • Some knowledge of operating Systems, Windows 10 / Server 2012 & 2016.
  • Ability to use technical documentation inc ability to read and amend machinery electrical drawings.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgement and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up plus good organisational interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills to identify root cause
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and projects including creation of VPM.
Essential Qualifications/Education:
  • Degree, HND, HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related subject area or minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Up-to-date professional certification in the relevant technical area
