The Contracts Team in Engineering Consultancy is looking for a highly motivated Contract Strategy Manager to join the team. Working under your own initiative, you will be able to manage your time and workload and provide regular updates to the Strategic Frameworks Manager.

As a Contract Strategy Manager, you will be the important link between our existing Highways and Civil Engineering works and services Frameworks and our Engineering design and Client teams. Our existing Framework and Contracts include:

• Our three Generation Four (Gen4) Civil Engineering Works Frameworks - for works up an individual project value of £150m.

• Our Gen4 Technical Resources Framework (TRF) - which is made up of three lots supplying people and small-scale design services.

• Our Strategic Partner Contract - this contract is a single supplier professional design services contract with a turnover of £10m p/a.

We will also be procuring a new professional services Framework in the summer, and it is likely that you will be part of the process of appointing successful consultants and setting up the new Framework.

To meet Hampshire County Council’s continuing challenges, we want to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual. In our team, we manage the procurement and operation of multiple works and professional services Frameworks which are used by Hampshire County Council and other public bodies across the South of England, with a combined throughput of over £60m per year.

You will have excellent IT and communication skills as well as good political awareness and personal management skills, which allow you to confidently communicate with consultants, contractors, internal clients, other public bodies and industry representatives; to ensure that good quality customer service is provided at all times.

We are a very proactive, supportive and collaborative team and your colleagues will support you to develop your expertise in this role.

Although this is a specialised area, we are not looking for someone with all the subject knowledge from day one. We are passionate about developing people with the relevant competencies, interests and drive.

You may also be required to work flexibly across the wider Contracts team, particularly in relation to Framework support.

Whilst this role is predominately office based (Winchester, Hampshire) you may be expected to attend meetings at other locations. In the current situation, you will be required to work remotely, in line with all Hampshire County Council staff.
