The company:

Part of dnata Group, dnata catering UK specialises in airline catering and has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Pricing Manager to join our Central Support Team at what is an exciting time for the business as we begin our growth and recovery plan.

The role:

You will be responsible for supporting the business in all areas of contract pricing activity being the specialist maintaining the master price lists to the agreed commercial contractual frameworks and supporting menu presentations ensuring contractual pricing terms are maintained.

What you’ll be doing will include:

  • Manage the master price list (MPL) set up ensuring accuracy of food cost, labour and margin to gross profit per flight for specific airline accounts – through robust contract analysis
  • Support the business process during menu presentations providing cost, labour & pricing information as required by the airline whilst ensuring agreed margins or contractual pricing terms are maintained.
  • Support pre presentation, post presentation and menu start up meetings
  • Oversee the management of all required Contract Pricing and Costings work – supporting the commercial frameworks of all customer agreements.
    • To support tender processes providing contract pricing and costings knowledge to set up meal ingredient details, food costs, direct labour values and where required to do so make informed decisions to complete the pricing process
  • Management of a Costings Analysts Team, overseeing their output, workload, objectives and performance – allocating workload to contracting priorities.
  • Oversee and manage the loading grids produced by the Costings Analysts ensuring all documentation produced by the analysts is accurate, within required time frames.
  • Obtain & action into airline systems - pricing information that ensures that deadlines are adhered and therefore payments are not delayed
  • Where applicable create and maintain yield codes in accordance with the agreed naming/coding conventions and in compliance with the company yield policy.
  • Yield data management – to support the unit’s stock consumption analysis
  • Maintain a clean and accurate data system at all times ensuring that old data is prepared for deletion and that new data is applied to the agreed naming/code convention
  • Support the labour process
  • Ensure adhoc and VIP flight information is collated and processed within the company accounting period to ensure accurate stock movement and invoicing.

What you’ll have will include:

  • Good understanding of food and food production methods
  • Computer literate with good Excel and Word skills
  • Ability to adapt to different databases including the in-house system
  • Financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost and labour values
  • Commercial & Contractual awareness
  • High level of analytical and numerical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in their approach to work
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, management and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative, to plan work processes and maintain well documented auditable files
