Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are inviting applications for a Consultant Respiratory Physician to join our six other Respiratory Physicians. We provide a comprehensive range of in and outpatient respiratory services from excellent facilities within the Somerset Lung Centre. This new post will support existing services and the post holder will be actively encouraged to help develop services according to their sub-specialist interests. Clinical research is actively encouraged and supported in the department as are teaching and training.

Musgrove Park Hospital is a 750 bed hospital, which is the largest in Somerset and serves a population of 350,000 with an excellent reputation for providing a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and specialist services.

Taunton is an attractive market town within easy reach of Bristol and Exeter. It is also close to Exmoor and Dartmoor, the Quantock Hills and two coast lines, including North Devon’s beaches.

About The Trust

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is the first NHS trust on the English mainland to provide community, mental health and acute hospital services. We work with health and social care partners in Somerset to ensure that we deliver outstanding services that meet the needs of our population.

Our trust was formed on 1 April 2020 when Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust merged. We provide community and mental health services across the whole of Somerset and acute hospital services in the north, west and centre of the county and beyond.
