Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the existing project team to fulfil the role of Construction Manager (Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical) within the Integrated Project Management Team working on a large chemical manufacturing plant upgrade.

The successful candidate will be responsible for construction management during project execution. You need to have previous experience as a Construction Manager and be capable of managing the time and workload of themselves and their team efficiently.

Long term contract position based in Cheshire
  • Implementation of Construction Strategy in Conjunction with Project Management
  • Management and coordination of overall Construction effort and management of project construction team
  • Pro-active communication of construction issues with project management for purpose of risk management with the aim of overall project success
  • Review the Construction Status weekly with Stakeholders, and maintain communications and relationships throughout the projects
  • Development of Construction Schedule/Programme in accordance with overall Project Management
  • Attendance at Design/Safety Reviews for Constructability and Safety input to Engineering and Scope Development
  • Monitoring and approval Construction Management Team hours
  • Input and review of weekly progress reports and monthly Construction & Commissioning reports with Project Controls
  • Review Site Contract Applications and Valuation Certificates
  • Review and provide direction with regard to Contract Notifications and Correspondence from Contractors
  • Chair Construction Monthly Forecast/Review meeting and other meetings as required
  • Input and review of Construction Contract status with Contracts Engineer
