An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Concierge Security Officer to join Kingdom Services Group Ltd, working at the Procurator Fiscal office in Edinburgh, EH1 area.

Hours:On average 47.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, Week 1 - 06.30 - 15.30, Week 2 - 10.00 - 20.00 plus additional work at weekends but only when required by the client
This is so essential maintenance work can be carried out when all staff are not there.
Pay rate: £9.50 per hour.
Training: Onsite training will be given. (Fire Alarm panel, intruder alarm system and patrol route inside the building only).
Main Duties:
To carry out Access/Egress of all personnel in and out of the building.
To assist in any real time fire evacuation or emergency along with the Facilities manager.
You may well be asked to carry out a mail run or to take an delivery to a certain person within the building
Suitable candidate must prove they are able to communicate both Verbally and Written to a standard required by client.
He / She must maintain a high standard of uniform / dress at all times when on site so a suit is issued by Kingdom.
- A valid SIA licence; or applied for.
- A full five year checkable employment history;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
- Have a good level of judgement professionalism.
- IT skills
- Physically & medically fit
- Be of smart appearance
- Enthusiastic and willing to develop new skills
- 2 – 5 years’ experience would be advantageous
- Must have the ability to deal with the emergency services
Knowledge and Experience
- An understanding of Health & Safety at work & the likely issues to occur in the building.
- A mature & non-judgmental attitude to working with a client group that may present challenging behaviour
- Effective Communication - Articulate, ability to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds & seeks to understand & be understood. Writes clearly & concisely
- Teamwork - Considerate & supportive, flexible & responsible Essential
- Customer Focus - Builds effective and boundaried relationships, enabling and promoting positive relationships with people from differing backgrounds.
