We are looking for an experienced Security Support officer with a SIA Door Supervisor license and a full Clean UK driving licence to join our team dealing with many staff, students and visitors on a daily basis.

Good communication is essential, with a continuous customer service focus base. Welsh speaking preferred.

Shift Pattern: Various hours and shifts as and when required. On Average up to 40 Hours per Week, Days / Nights / Weekends. 07:00 am - 19:00 pm / 19:00 pm - 07:00 am / 08.30 am - 15.30 pm / 07.30 am - 15.30 pm / 21.00 pm - 07.00 am.

Pay rate: £9.50 per hour.

Person Specification

To be considered for this position, you will need:

A valid SIA Door supervisor licence; or applied for / own transport / Full UK Driving Licence
A full five year checkable employment history
Excellent customer service skills / Welsh speaking preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
An ability to work as part of a team
An enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible approach
IT skills

You will be providing security, Health and Safety along with any other duties to a large campus and its sister campus, some of daily duties would be;

  • Foot patrols around the campus
  • Infringing illegally parked vehicles
  • Looking and reporting defects
  • Opening and Locking buildings
  • Reporting incidents
  • Fire hazard and extinguisher checks
  • Operating the CCTV cameras
  • Radios and intercoms
  • Gritting and mobile patrol.

Act as the first point of contact for visitors to the site
Liaise with client to fulfil security requirements on site
Complete various security documentation
Liaise with manager effectively and efficiently
Protect the image of high profile client and Kingdom
Supervise and control site access
Where appropriate and trained act as incident first responder.
