Location:Mansfield, NG17

Daily Rate:£28,000 – £43,000

Days:Monday – Friday, Term Time Only

Hours:8:15am – 3:10pm

Start Date:Monday 4thSeptember 2023

Contract:Permanent

Role Purpose:This role is for a full time teacher to work within a ICT faculty. The school are looking for someone who is able to teach any of the following specialisms of ICT and Computer Science.

The ideal candidate will be able to operate within a dynamic and forward-thinking team who are focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for students across the 11-18 age range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Teach students how to effectively use a range of design software and equipment.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them to refine their design work and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organize extracurricular activities, such as design competitions and workshops, to enhance students’ passion for design and technology.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in design and technology education, incorporating them into your teaching strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK, with a specialism in Design & Technology or a related field.
  • A passion for Computer Science / ICT, with a strong understanding of ICT principles and Computer Science practical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Proficiency in using ICT software and equipment, such as coding etc
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with advancements in the field.
  • Experience in teaching ICT / Computer Science at secondary school level is desirable.
