Job Title: Compliance Manager

Location: Blyth

Job Purpose

ISG have recently secured a £500m new build Battery Gigaplant project in Blyth, and this role will be responsible for and to ensure that our project site at Blyth, Northumberland is fully compliant with respect to all domestic and international legislation, including but not limited to immigration law, labour law, tax and social security and any contractual obligations ISG has such as enhanced personnel vetting.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Implement the ISG legal compliance program;
  • Implement ISG internal controls using appropriate systems to monitor and report adherence to them;
  • Contribute to the drafting and revision of company compliance processes and related policies;
  • Lead and manage on behalf of ISG any government/site inspection in line with local legislation/requirements;
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses and implement any required process improvements;
  • Evaluate business activities and our supply chain to assess compliance risk and put in place a robust strategy to mitigate risk;
  • Collaborate with ISG’s external advisors and internal departments as necessary;
  • Communicate, report and escalate compliance risks to Senior Management;
  • Educate and train employees on regulations, ISG and industry practices;
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional development, remaining current with changing legislation both locally and internationally that could impact the business.


Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Compliance Manager in a related sector
  • Proven success in risk management and mitigation
  • In depth knowledge with construction industry practices and professional standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of integrity and professional ethics
