Saltash, Cornwall

Up to £60k

Hybrid working – time in the office is flexible with no set commitment, but some visibility in the office will benefit the post holder and will be required.

Our client, a leading L&D and training organisation with an international presence, is looking for an experienced Compliance & ESG Lead to join their Cornwall based team.

You will ensure that our client complies with regulations, ethical standards and best practices as well as playing a key role in overseeing, managing and delivering their Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and assist with compliance audits and reporting to relevant authorities
  • Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations, and ensure continued adherence
  • Educate and train employees on compliance matters, maintaining a culture of compliance within the business
  • Lead a team of internal auditors, ensuring all have received relevant information and training to carry out their auditor responsibilities
  • Lead the ISO 9001/14001 accreditation process, ensuring compliance to BSI requirements and achievement across all entities
  • Lead the continued accreditation process for EcoVadis, CDP, FSQS, JOSCAR, Achilles and any other relevant accreditations
  • Develop and implement an ESG strategy aligned with the business goals and client requirements
  • Monitor, assess and publish ESG performance and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Ensure compliance with ESG reporting requirements, including sustainability reporting frameworks
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance and ESG practices
