West Mendip - District Nurse

West Mendip District Nurses have a two vacancies for a Community Staff Nurse to join their dynamic, friendly team on a permanent basis. We are interested in hearing from either full or part-time applicants.

They cover Glastonbury, Street and Wells where they visit housebound patients in the comfort of their own home settings.

You will be a competent practitioner who possesses the confidence to work autonomously, often in very difficult and stressful environment’s.

District Nursing covers a variety of skill sets including Palliative care, intensive wound care (Vac therapy, larvae therapy, compression bandaging) We also deliver IV therapies, picc line care, as well as a range of other services to support people to stay at home.

We also work very closely with our colleagues from our integrated services including GPs, IRT, Mental health, ASC and our village and community agents.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment.
