An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Safety Parks Enforcement Officer on behalf of our public sector client based in Barking.

The successful applicant will have experience of undertaking enforcement activity in a similar frontline role to address community concerns.

Key duties will include:
  • To patrol parks and open spaces in the area with a view to addressing anti-social behaviour, public space protection orders (PSPO), rough sleeping, street drinking and begging
  • To engage with rough sleepers, street drinkers and beggars to ensure all appropriate services are accessible and every effort is taken to assist in their recovery including getting rough sleepers off the streets and into accommodation
  • To perform security duties such as locking and unlocking of gates, allow access to restricted area, deliver legal papers
  • To work closely with the partnership, especially the police to deliver community safety and improve the public perception of community safety; this will entail joint patrols and joined up working with the police
  • To work as part of a mobile team on a shift pattern (Monday to Sunday)
