We are looking to recruit a Band 8a Community Manager to the Dorset All Age Eating Disorders Service (DAEDS). This unique service provides eating disorders treatment and care for people of all ages with an eating disorder and their families across the county of Dorset.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, enthusiastic individual, with strong leadership and operational knowledge and skills. Prior experience of leading through change will be essential, experience of working in an eating disorders (ED) service and an understanding of the national challenges facing ED services would be advantageous.

As the Community Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of the community arm of DAEDs . You will work closely with the Integrated Eating Disorders Service Manager to maintain quality, to meet agreed objectives and to develop the service to meet the needs of people with an eating disorder in Dorset.

To lead the Community Eating Disorder Service (ED) and take actions as appropriate to ensure the development of the service is in line with the latest evidence and consistently meet patient, family/carer need and commissioner and regulatory authority standards.

With the Integrated Service Manager plan, initiate and develop a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of integrated and inclusive services for individuals, their families and carers with eating disorders.

With the Integrated ED Service Manager set standards, guidelines and protocols for best multi-disciplinary practice and promote these both within the service, partner agencies and voluntary sector.

To work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting, holding self and all team members to account appropriately and demonstrating personal commitment to integrated leadership.

With the Integrated Service Manager to initiate and implement change which leads to measurable quality improvements in practice.

To provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to all health professionals colleagues where appropriate. Participate in and lead meetings as appropriate
