Healthwatch Shropshire are now recruiting! We are looking for people to join our team and share our passion for Healthwatch Shropshire as the independent voice of the people of Shropshire in seeking to improve their experience of Health and Social Care services.

Community Engagement and Communications Officer

Healthwatch Shropshire listens to people and makes sure their voices are heard. This post involves finding out the experiences of people needing or using health, public health and social care services. You will do this by engaging with a wide range of people, local community groups and networks to seek the views of everyone including those who are seldom heard to reduce the barriers they face. You will represent Healthwatch at external health and social care meetings and deliver reports. You need to be outgoing, flexible and organised. This is a public facing role and you will work out of the office for much of the time. This post is subject to a DBS check.

The post is part time (22.5 hours per week) with a salary of £14,035 pa (based on a full-time equivalent salary of £23,080 pa).
