Job OverviewAre you a newly qualified Band 5 dietitian looking for a varied and exciting dietetic position in Somerset? Are you keen to have a broad variety of experience whilst working in a supportive team?We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible dietitian to join our progressive Community Team within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust on a 12 month fixed term basis. This post is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working in both the Home Enteral Tube Feeding team as well as the community dietetic service, providing dietetic advice to a wide range of patients in a variety of settings (remote, clinic and face to face).Somerset dietitians provide a wide range of specialist dietetic services in both the Acute and Community setting and you will have an opportunity to spend time with the specialist teams as part of your CPD.The successful applicant will have proven experience within a nutrition and dietetics healthcare setting from their work or clinical placements, underpinned by a relevant degree/diploma and HPC registration. The ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team is essential.Whether you are a Band 5 looking to progress your professional career or a newly qualified dietitian, we want to hear from you.Main duties of the jobYou will provide dietetic care to tube fed patients in the community (remote appointments, clinic and home settings) under the care of the Home Enteral Tube Feeding Service with a range of long term conditions. You will be responsible for organising and managing your own HETF caseload.You will also provide a dietetic service to GP referrals for a wide range of clinical conditions. This is currently provided on a remote (via video/ telephone) and face to face in county wide clinics and home visits.
