About Our Client

Our client has been in operation for nearly 30 years and is proud to provide support and services to local people and their families. They are continuously growing and as such are looking to add additional heads into their Fundraising and Marketing space. Through community support, the organisation is able to continue to provide the level of support that is required and so being a part of the team who drives revenue generated activity and awareness is of enormous importance.

Job Description

The key accountabilities of the Community Communications Coordinator will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Be a main contact at the organisation for schools and faith groups across Bury;
  • Increase engagement with hard to reach sectors of society (e.g. BAME, LGBTQ+, homeless and traveller communities);
  • Ensure best possible supporter care for your donor community from the first point of enquiry through to regular contact. Ensure correct and effective recognition and thank you communications are sent and followed up on;
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of direct marketing campaigns;
  • Be an active member of the fundraising team contributing to the development and implementation of operational plans and strategies;
  • To be responsible for the project planning and delivery of the community activities and campaigns each year, being supported by the Marketing Executive to promote to targeted audiences;
  • Provide comprehensive monthly reports to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising providing an update on activity;
  • To perform any other duties consistent with the nature of the post as agreed with the Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must possess the following skill-set;

  • Experience in communications, fundraising and the nfp sector;
  • Experience in effective budget management;
  • Excellent team work skills;
  • Impressive communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to try new approachesl
  • Ability to manage varying workloads and deadlines.
