My client is an established organisation within the education and training industry sector.
The offices are based in the Wellingborough / Rushden area of Northamptonshire.
Job Description
The main responsibilities for the Finance Assistant role include:
- Invoice processing
- Purchase ledger responsibilities
- Reconciliations (bank, credit card, statements)
- Invoice and account query resolution
- Assistance with other areas of finance including sales ledger and payroll
- Use of Excel on a daily basis
- Ad hoc accounts administration
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Finance Assistant role will have some previous exposure in clerical accounting duties (purchase ledger, sales ledger, invoice processing etc.)
You will also need to possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to make you an effective team player
An accounting qualification such as AAT will be advantageous in this role although not a necessity.
However, it is vital that you are a self starter who has lots of initiative and possess a strong work ethic, always striving for success and that you are keen to learn.
The client is looking for someone that wants to take on more responsibilities and duties in the future, as well as the work ethic to take on any work and duties on an ad hoc basis, to support the Head of Finance and your colleagues.
A good working knowledge of Excel is beneficial for this role.
