Location: Blandford, Dorset

Role: Communications Systems Engineer

Are you an experienced System Engineer with knowledge ofCCNA part 1 or N+ level? Looking for an exciting opportunity within Defence & Space?

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and support the test environments using the military IS in accordance with current MOD policy and guidelines.
  • Configuring IS networks to meet the needs of the technical tests.
  • Interoperability with national and international military IS and test equipment.
  • Provide support, advice, guidance for the build standards and upgrades for military IS equipment.
  • System level maintenance on Military IS, including serviceability checks and inspections.

Please note, you will need to be eligible to gain or already hold UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role with the possibility of requiring UK DV Security Clearance.

Required Experience / Skills

You will be a Systems Engineer with experience in communications and information systems.

It would also be advantageous to have experience in contemporary deployable military information systems along with the below:

  • Experience of configuring VMWare and virtual machines.
  • Communications or information systems Level 3 BTEC qualification or equivalent.
  • CCNA part 1 or N+ level knowledge.
  • Experience in using MS Visio (Advantageous)
