Communications Officer (Digital)
Salary: SCP 36-39 (£38,508-£42,047 per annum)
Location: Home Based Worker
Duration: Permanent
Work Pattern: 35 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday
Wheatley Group has a rare opportunity for the right person to join their award-winning communications and marketing team. The ideal candidate must have a strong track record in public relations and/or the media and have hands-on experience of digital communications.
This is a demanding but rewarding role in a values-driven organisation that makes a difference to communities and people’s lives. The communications and marketing team supports the corporate group and its subsidiaries to achieve their aims by delivering a diverse range of communications services.
This role has a particular focus on creating and managing digital content for the group’s websites, social media channels and staff intranet. Applicants should have an interest in producing engaging video content as part of this mix.
While the focus will be managing digital channels and approaches, the ideal candidate will be flexible and multi-skilled with the ability to make a strong contribution across all areas of the team’s work including media services, internal communications and planning and evaluating integrated PR campaigns. You must have a flair for writing disciplined and engaging content for both print and online.
You’ll be creative, a stickler for accuracy and meeting deadlines, and be able to demonstrate a talent for turning complex ideas into stories people want to read and watch. Please note this is a job opportunity for an experienced communications professional and is not an entry level role.
