Job Title: Communications Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting for 3x Communications Managers across our business located in London.

Purpose of the Job

The Communications Manager is responsible for the full complement of the communications working directly with Global Communications Lead and the Divisional Presidents. The positions are primarily responsible for managing and delivering the communication strategy across the GWS business working with key leaders/stakeholders to translate messages into compelling employee and client engagement, messages and content.

Internal communications:

  • Own the development and ongoing maintenance Communications plan and calendar, covering key media relations, client and internal communications for special projects and other business requirements
  • Manage Divisional President Management Conference/Town Halls/Business Briefings
  • Partner with Leadership teams across internal communication requirements covering country and divisional activity; providing guidance on key message development in-line with business strategy and direction, drafting content, editing and proofreading and distribution where required
  • Collect submissions, prepare appropriate content, editing, proofreading, putting into template, and manage distribution where required across GWS and wider CBRE communications/newsletters
  • Supporting the collation of GWS wins content for Quarterly Earnings calls/announcements and packaging to global
  • Update GWS Intranet homepage with relevant content

External communications:

  • Support the development and roll-out of engaging, integrated multi-channel campaigns in line with an annual occupier research program; cascading outputs regionally/divisionally to internal & external audiences
  • Work alongside the sales team where required on strategic development external outputs
  • Where required draft media statements and answer media inquires
  • Be recognized as a specialist in delivery of communication solutions and an all-round project manager with excellent attention to detail
  • Work alongside marketing and sales on the digital marketing strategy for GWS across, including web, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Support messaging where required at external client events

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement comms processes and initiatives across the Division
  • Track comms activities, demonstrating link between activities and results
  • Develop strategy/tactics to market CBRE and occupier offering to clients using existing vehicles, Campaign Logic, and new approaches
  • Ensure Global GWS Communication Lead is kept informed and involved (as necessary) with initiatives

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability in delivering results – requires skills of a hands-on communications specialist, with strategic insight
  • Demonstrated experience in a broad marketing/communications role in advertising, property, financial or professional services
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, strong project management skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities, specifically business writing, executive communications, creative writing
  • Client focused, demonstrating ability to provide quality service and advice within Marcomms arena
  • Sound decision-making capabilities, demonstrating an ability to create persuasive and compelling recommendations
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization with excellent presentation skills
  • Creative thinker with ability to implement regional process
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft packages –Word, Excel and Outlook. InDesign an advantage.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a relevant field i.e. marketing, communication, public relation, economics or commerce (experience in property industry an advantage) or Professional Marketing Accreditation e.g. CIM/CMMP
  • Experience in marketing/communications management in a service-related industry
  • Presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Writing skills and ability to edit existing writing
  • Strong knowledge of regional major markets would be an advantage
