MISSION


Working closely with the Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager, the Communications & Digital Engagement Manager will execute the annual Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté press and influencer strategy, in order in increase press & social PR rankings and engagement with the brands with the aim to enhance brand love and awareness with press, beauty consultants and key influencers.

Our first strength is Make-up, led by NARS, theNo 8 brand in the UK market with incredible success globally.

Skincare is a key priority for expansion, with Shiseido having huge growth potential in UK&I, and also the spectacular launch of Clé de Peau Beauté in Harrods and H-Beauty. Drunk Elephant joined our portfolio at the beginning of 2021 bringing its unique tone of voice together with its amazing formulations. In 2023 we are planning to launch ULE a newly created Skincare brand with breakthrough credentials around Sustainability, as well as expanding Gallinée, our most recent acquisition from 2022 and specialized around skin microbiome.

We are also growing fast in Fragrance with brands such as Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Tory Burch, Zadig&Voltaire and Serge Lutens.


Our clients include high-street retailers such as department stores, drugstores & chains as well as online pure players and specialty stores. We also have 4 boutiques and 3 direct e-commerce websites.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


MEDIA/INFLUENCER RELATIONS

  • Supporting the Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager, to achieve annual KPIs
  • Cultivate and maintain strong influencer and press relationships
  • With the Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager, support the execution of influencer strategies with the goal of driving VIT and sales with key retail partners
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on all paid-for campaigns with influencers
  • Drive and execute PR & Communications initiatives, including product launches & strategic events
  • Manage openings of new counters as well as existing doors with dedicated Communications plans, by collaborating with retailer social teams/online teams to increase brand presence, and with locally relevant influencers
  • Identify opportunities to target influencers and generate social media coverage in new and unique ways.
  • Manage all image and sample requests with the support of the Communications & Digital Engagement Intern.

PRESS OFFICE

  • Take ownership of PR monitoring & reporting, managing the PR Intern in tracking and monitoring online coverage, as well as contributing to the monthly editorial reports and press launch reports.
  • Work with Communications & Digital Engagement Intern to manage the timely send out of all press mailers to all lead times.
  • Create PR Calendars and Strategy Documents for the brands alongside Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager
  • Organise Press and Influencer trips (travel / accommodation) alongside Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager and with EMEA / Global contacts.
  • Manage Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté budget alongside Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager, to ensure that all costs, PO’s and invoices are updated each month.
  • Demonstrate strategic capabilities to work creatively, commercially and editorially to suit the needs of the business i.e. identifying the correct titles per launch strategy to generate maximum commercial ROI.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong press relationships, Influencer Relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté sphere of influence beyond the traditional beauty influencers in line with brand DNA.
  • Manage the execution of PR & Communications initiatives, including product launches & strategic events.
  • Day-to-day liaison with Global / EMEA teams, including delivery of all required assets, liaison with EU logistics and marketing team
  • Draft all event recaps for approval by the Senior Communications & Digital Engagement Manager
  • Provide in-depth monthly Influencer engagement analysis using available analysis systems
  • Provide the UK & EU teams with competitive analysis on influencer engagement

PROFILE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Solid proven experience in Beauty PR including good relationships with online press and influencers.
  • Excellent understanding of social media sphere with a solid knowledge of leading UK Influencers and vloggers
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and act independently to drive brand goals.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and work under short deadlines whilst quickly identifying priorities and sticking to deadlines.
  • Budget Management and understanding of SAP.
  • A good understanding of the beauty industry with a high level of creative energy and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Experience across luxury, skincare.
