Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, is seeking to appoint a Communications Assistant to support the provision of a comprehensive and high-quality communications service to maximise opportunities to extend the reach and visibility of our charity.

This is a fixed term/secondment post for 18 months. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

The role will involve supporting the Senior Communications Officer to create innovative campaigns to promote the work of our charity, tell the story of our fundraisers and supporters, as well as the impact of our charity on the lives of NHS patients, service users and staff.

The post-holder will have experience of working as part of a communications team and experience of creating compelling content for a broad range of audiences and communications platforms.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and able to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and be able to work accurately and efficiently, using their own initiative.

An understanding of NHS charities and/or the fundraising operations of third sector organisations would be advantageous.
