The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for a Communications and Marketing Assistant to join our External Relations team, who supports the connections between the School and the wider world, including through communications, alumni relations and events.
Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, the postholder will support the communications sub-team, contribute to the implementation of the department’s communications strategy and assist in the evaluation of communications activities. They will support in the management and production of the external e-newsletter, keep the School’s website up-to-date, and take a lead role in marketing the School’s public events and in internal communications. They will also be involved in a wide range of School and External Relations projects, and undertake day-to-day administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communications and writing skills, and a demonstrable experience of technology. Quick to learn with a sharp intellect, they will be a self-starter with experience of fast-moving and demanding environments, a proven team player, and possess a flexible and can-do attitude. The ability to plan their own work and manage small projects with minimal supervision, strong administrative skills, and knowledge of Microsoft office packages are also essential.
This post is fixed-term for 2 years.
