We’re looking for a Communications and Engagement officer to join our busy, talented team.

We need someone who understands the NHS and the amazing impact it has on the lives of people every single day. You will use your creative flair and strong writing skills to help us spread the stories that matter to our staff, patients and local communities.

You will be able to identify communications opportunities that help us share our messages across the wide range of channels available, from traditional print media to digital, and everything in between.

You will be involved in all aspects of communications, both internal and external, and be supported by an experienced, friendly team.

You’ll be creative and have a passion for great communications and engagement – able to generate ideas and be known for your can do attitude.

You’ll help us shape a great service for our staff and our patients and you’ll be dedicated to making sure we hear the voices we’ve never heard before.

You’ll be skilled across all the varied communications disciplines and know how to find and write compelling copy (there’s no shortage of amazing stories in our Trust) and you’ll be able to turn complex information into clear, accessible and helpful messages for the people who need them.

You’ll understand the communications planning process, from setting measurable communications objectives, planning tactics and actions to delivering and evaluating the impact of what we do. And you’ll be passionate about making sure all our communications and engagement is accessible to everyone. We’re committed to leaving no one behind.

You’ll be comfortable in the digital environment, with experience of managing an intranet and internet, document management and keeping up to date with technology to help deliver campaigns and engaging messages.
