We’re currently looking to hire a Commodity Manager in our SCM Source department at our coastal office in Weymouth.This purpose of this role is to plan and implement ongoing/annual cost/price reductions according to target e.g., by means of Design to cost/ Value management measures and provide / support the up-to-date commodity strategy.You will:- Pursue and implement a set of goals, plan and conduct negotiations. Participate in global negotiations - conduct negotiations and present the documented results as required (e.g. SAP).
  • Present the results of negotiations or coordinate them with the Global Commodity Manager GCM) and participate in the proposal for awarding the contract or prepare and coordinate them responsibly.
  • Implementing and performing the tasks of professional supplier management of the assigned commodity groups (research, identification, approval, evaluation, development, capacity assurance, etc.).
  • Conduct and manage market research for suitable suppliers, technology clusters / trends, in part also globally, and process local product group tasks and support global ones.
  • Create and participate in the coordination of the supplier base in close coordination with the stakeholders regarding current and future requirements.
  • Implement and ensure procurement strategies are aligned or developed, communicating change, trends and risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure and implement professional risk/contract management as well as escalation and risk management. Ensure that measures are initiated and followed up in a sustainable manner.
  • Close coordination with various departments (R&D, SQ, OP, logistics, etc.)
  • Escalation and risk management, ensuring that actions are initiated, tracked and completed.
  • About You:We’re looking enthusiastic individual to join our team! A person who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team.You Will Have:- Completed studies (Bachelor degree) in commercial direction, e.g. business administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing / Procurement.
  • Advanced Project / Process experience.
  • Experience in the leading & facilitation of internal and external meetings.
  • Ability to work in a team, result orientation, analytical ability, decision-making ability, initiative, assertiveness.
  • Cross-functional experience through project work in a related functional area.
