Job description
We have an outstanding opportunity for a qualified civil engineering focussed Commercial Manager to work in the heart of Leeds. The employer is an international contractor that has secured numerous schemes in the Yorkshire region and is bidding on many more besides.
Right now there are 2 projects in the region, with a combined value of circa £50m, that require management and already have QSs assigned. One is a large public realm scheme and the other is a high profile road improvement. Looking ahead they are bidding on schemes such as Otley Relief Road and the Leeds Civils Framework which will be worth approximately £100m over 3 years.
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will have full commercial responsibility for all projects in your remit and your input will also be required when tenders are being put together for future works. For the best chance of success we’re looking for someone who has already worked in a similar role for a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor and has engaged with a wide variety of clients, public and private. Ideally you will be degree qualified in a relevant subject and have already gained or be working towards chartership.
