Job description

Title: Graduate Laboratory Technician
Salary - up to £25,000
Location: Cambridge

Search scientific are working with an expanding biologics company based in the Cambridgeshire area, who are looking for multiple laboratory technicians. You’ll be working along side some highly talented scientists and on state of the are technologies.

As a Laboratory Technician you’ll be working within the companies DNA/RNA extraction team, supporting with a global project focused around genetics. You will be supporting senior scientists on business critical projects. Providing technical updates to internal and external stakeholders.

What will your day to day look like?

  • - Support with the extraction of DNA/RNA materials.
  • - Prepare you own samples for analysis, recording your results to a high industrial standard.
  • - You will take part in scientific discussions to identify best practice for your clients.


What do you need?

  • - To be educated to BSc level, or equivalent, within a scientific subject.
  • - Have experience performing DNA/RNA extraction either within industry or during your studies.
  • - Strong understanding of PCR, ideally with industrial experience.
  • - Great communication skills, both verbally and written.
