Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum plus performance bonus, car, pension, and healthcare

Location: Home-based, covering Yorkshire & the North East of England.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Veolia IWE North business unit, reporting to the Head of Commercial.
  • Providing transparency on financials through accurate cost control, analysis, and reporting, and maximising project profitability.
  • Managing the in-business project governance, bringing good challenges to contracts, and driving quality assurance with an outside-in view for the senior management team.
  • Challenging, supporting, and negotiating with new and existing contracts.
  • Helping the operational teams to recognise and mitigate risks by bringing solutions to commercial challenges, such as risk modeling techniques, challenging margins, risk premiums, etc.
  • Recognising and optimising business opportunities.
  • Demonstrating awareness of and assisting the team to ensure that we comply with all HSEQ and statutory regulations.
  • Working with procurement to ensure supply chain contracts are structured to suitably mitigate risks being accepted in contracts.

What are we looking for?

  • A high-performing individual with a drive to successfully accomplish goals.

  • Strong management and organisational skills.
  • Analytically astute with attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of various forms of contract including New Engineering Contracts (NEC).
  • Experience in on-site energy generation contracts is desirable.
  • Previous knowledge and experience of operations and maintenance contracts.
  • Experience in estimating and putting in place effective cost control mechanisms.
  • HND/Degree in business/commercial management or quantity surveying is desirable.
