The Role:

As a Customer Insight Manager at Holland & Barrett, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business decisions by harnessing consumer insights. You will collaborate closely with Commercial & Trading teams, driving customer-centric strategies and creating value. This position requires a deep understanding of stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and strategic thinking to influence our key missions. Join us in championing the consumer’s voice and propelling Holland & Barrett’s success in VHMS (Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements) and Sports sectors.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Build deep relationships with stakeholders to understand their business areas and identify opportunities for customer-centric improvements.
  • Lead insight requirements identification and management, including primary research and external data sources.
  • Manage primary research projects across different methodologies, transforming data into impactful stories.
  • Deliver compelling insights that influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Seek out and apply innovative research and insight techniques.
  • Evaluate the consumer journey, recommend improvements, and support future business cases.
  • Manage third-party relationships to maximise returns.
  • Champion the consumer voice internally and collaborate with insight colleagues to provide a unified consumer view.

Commercial & Trading Specific:

  • Lead insights for VHMS and Sports teams, driving customer-centric actions.
  • Play a key role in annual insights, category management, range reviews, and new product development.
  • Embed insight into the commercial teams and ensure actions are taken to improve business performance.

Location:

The company has a base in London and Nuneaton and some travel will be required to both locations, however the role is predominately based in Nuneaton. There may also be occasional travel outside of the UK. We’re a global, digitally enabled business and we expect our colleagues to be self-driven and to determine the most appropriate place to work each day to meet the requirements of the role, achieve their best performance and optimum output.

The Person:
  • Skilled in senior stakeholder management, with a track record of managing strategic relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to simplify complex data.
  • Connect insights from different sources to provide a holistic understanding.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a commercial focus.
  • Proven experience in insight collection, integration, and analysis.
  • Passion for data and insight, with analytical skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and effective at prioritizing work.
  • Experience in strategy, insight, or commercial roles.
  • Strong team player with a focus on results and quality.
