**£39,000 - £42,900 Salary plus a Welcome Bonus up to £1,000**

We’re looking for a Commercial Heating Engineer (Renewables) to work as part of our award-winning Property Team working out of our Blandford Hubcovering all regions.

This role will involve carrying out Commercial Gas & Renewables work within our communal plant rooms and properties in accordance with prescribed work schedules, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) regulations and to Sovereign’s established standard procedures set for delivery of exceptional customer service.

We will provide you with a van and fuel card, and all relevant tools to carry out your job.

Tasks to include:

  • Competently undertake servicing and repair works to the required legal standard as directed by MI’s.
  • The Installation of new plant rooms
  • Carry out PPM checks on systems and equipment.
  • Conversant with all types of mechanical plant
  • Testing & purging of commercial pipework
  • Find and repair gas leaks using computerised fault-finding equipment.
  • Trace and repair faulty equipment.
  • Install or repair heating system pipe work.
  • Electrical / Controls knowledge an advantage
  • Knowledge of Commercial DSEAR regs IGEM UP16

You will undertake works in accordance with current Gas Safety Regulations, H&S regulations and Sovereigns policies and procedures.

Liaising with both internal and external customers appropriately and promptly is key to the role to ensure those involved in your work are aware of progress.

Candidates must have renewables experience and relevant gas qualifications including:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • CCN1 - Core Gas Safety
  • CENWAT1 - Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
  • CoDNCO1-Changeover core- Domestic to Commercial NG
  • CIGA1- Installation of Commercial indirect fired appliances
  • ICPN1- First fix Commercial pipework
  • TCP1A- testing and purging up to 1m3

You’ll enjoy working alone or as part of a team and be confident in using IT technology such as iPads.

The Successful candidate will be fully trained in renewables with a view to obtain City and Guilds FGAS 2079-11(CAT1)

Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and have the ability to drive a company van.

This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure.
