Who are we?Volvo Car Financial Services UK (VCFSUK) is a financial services joint venture business, part-owned by Volvo Cars and Santander Consumer Finance, operating across the UK Volvo retailer network, Polestar, and LEVC. We have an exciting job opening within our Senior Management Team (SMT) as our new Commercial Director, based in our Maidenhead offices.What You’ll DoReporting directly to the Managing Director (MD), you will be responsible for supporting the MD to set the overall 3-year strategic plan, the annual business plan, and the budget to ensure VCFSUK delivers strategic objectives set by the Board of Directors. You will lead and direct the sales, marketing, and business development function. Managing the growth of new business in a sustainable manner and in line with the agreed business plan, KPI’s and strategic plan relating to delivering income, margins, and volumes in an optimal fashion.The role requires you to maintain positive relationships with all our brand and major retail partners directly and with the support of the National Sales Managers. In addition, it is to manage the performance of the Retailer networks through the field team. You will also shape and lead the development of VCFSUK channel and product development strategies and work closely with our brand partners to identify marketing programmes and business development opportunities that work for all.You will achieve business effectiveness through the facilitation of successful business relationships with stakeholders at all levels, working with strategic partners at senior levels. Proactively build and maintain effective internal and external relationships and key partnerships and stakeholder relationships to enhance 2-way communication to support the delivery of strategic initiatives. Ensuring all activity conducted is carried out in a compliant manner from a legal, regulatory, and business governance perspective, with a specific focus on ensuring sustainability and driving good customer outcomes.This position is considered a Certified Role under the FCA Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SMCR) and as such will be subject to significant criminal, financial, and credit vetting checks.Do you fit the profile?A proven record of success at a senior level is essential, ideally within the financial services industry, with significant experience as a Commercial Director or another relevant role. You should have a background in sales and/or marketing gained in either automotive retailing or financial services and possess demonstratable evidence of managing relationships with key clients, and an in-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis. You should have an understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques along with a high level of commercial awareness and a strategic mindset. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills are essential and you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.What We Offer

• Salary £90,000- £120,000 depending on experience, reviewed, and benchmarked annually
