As a Barclays Cloud Virtualisation Developer, you will be creating, maintaining and managing code used in the automation of Internal cloud platform within the IT infrastructure. You will create new features and functions as well as managing the existing portal, feeds and workflows. What will you be doing?

  • Looking after the Barclays internal web site, its database and feeds
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level technical assistance in the event of issues that cannot be fixed by existing teams
  • Maintaining existing code base and help deliver new features and enhancements requested by various areas of the business
  • Contributing in the areas of application performance management, business service management and infrastructure monitoring
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, SMEs and all levels of management to execute on strategic and tactical goals
  • You will build relationships with key stakeholders, engaging on process integration with the monitoring solutions
  • Contributing to research and assessment of industry standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in Python, JavaScript/YAML
  • Experience in debugging, fault finding and providing resolution
  • Excellent communicator and good all round Developer

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience with vRealize – VRA & VRO and ability to create work flows
  • Knowledge of cloud-hosted application architecture
  • Exposure to using GIT and developing as part of a team utilising pull request methodology

You will be based in Radbroke Hall, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our Tech Command Centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
