Through innovative eClinical solutions and services, Calyx turns the uncertain into the reliable, helping bring new medical treatments to market faster. With deep expertise in clinical development and more than 25 years of supporting trial sponsors and clinical research organizations (CROs), Calyx harnesses that intelligence and activates its potential to solve complex problems, deliver fast insights, and get new drugs to market every day.Following our formation as an independent company earlier this year, we’ve been developing our IT Infrastructure strategy, an integral element of our transition towards becoming fully self-supporting. We’re now looking for Infrastructure Architects with specialisms across a range of domains to help us shape this strategy further and drive its execution.
The roles are based at our modern, state of the art offices in Nottingham City Centre which have excellent transport links and the type of working environment you’d associate with an innovative technology company. There’s also flexibility to work remotely.
About The Role
These are technical oversight roles. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your domain within our Infrastructure Architecture group, you’ll need to understand the overall approach proposed and be confident with the detail in order to challenge, understand the implications and call out the dependencies and risks associated with the proposed direction of travel. You’ll also be comfortable influencing and driving others - colleagues across the Architecture group and elsewhere - in the right direction, ensuring decisions taken are beneficial to delivery of the program against its defined timelines.
Your ability to collaborate effectively will be key, as will your ability to adopt a holistic view across your - and others’ workstreams, ’joining the dots’ and ensuring consistency in approach in line with agreed architectural policies and standards. You’ll also be a creative thinker, driving alternative approaches where time, resource - or other - constraints dictate compromises to the preferred approach.
For this role you have excellent Cloud experience in a previous Infrastructure Architect role and a skill such as
- MS Azure (ideally)
- IaaS (including networking, monitoring and data recovery aspects)
- PaaS
- Ansible / DevOps
- Cloud related Qualifications (Ideally)
- End User Compute (EUC), Networks and Data Centre Architect experience a plus
In return we’ll offer you a structured career pathway and development within the role including building awareness and understanding of the industry. Your hard work will be rewarded with a competitive salary. The benefits package includes 25 days’ holiday per year, pension scheme, life assurance, long-term disability insurance, a health cash plan and a host of other leading-edge benefits.
Please apply with your word CV for more details for this great role!
