We’re looking for a Clothing Production Manager to join our growing team at an exciting time through Mallet’s journey.

Role Overview

As the Clothing Production Manager, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by managing the various aspects the Clothing production function. At a time when clothing is becoming an integral part of the business, we are looking for an experienced clothing production professional with a passion for the product and brand, an abundance of professionalism, and who is initiative led to help guide and drive the clothing collection. Experience must include but not limited to garment construction, materials and their function, sizing, testing requirements by global region, and associated documentation. In addition, we are committed to a more sustainable drive and are currently going through the process of being approved for Organic Cotton.

Key duties/responsibilities
  • Oversee the production process.
  • With the Production Co-Ordinator raise seasonal style codes and oversee order placement at the end of each selling window.
  • Negotiating pricing and deliveries with overseas factories.
  • Monitor delivery dates in line with agreed dates and critical path.
  • With the Production Co-Ordinator ensure goods are packed, shipped and distributed correctly.
  • With the Production Co-Ordinator, work with the Marketing team to ensure goods are available to be published on the various global websites.
  • Obtaining approval for each garment to be made from Organic Cotton.
  • Co-Ordinating lab tests of fabric/garments and final production
  • Knowledge of countries of destination testing and shipping requirements.
  • Following up with test results and approvals.
  • Work with the designer, alongside the Head of Production, on spec sheets and tech packs.
  • Complete sample requests for sales samples, final fit and confirmation
  • Update internal documents for production and deliveries.
  • Developing and strengthening current manufacturing and supplier relationships.
  • To be the main point of contact for production, construction, and fabric within the clothing department for the wider business.
  • Other ad hoc business requirements.
Skills/Knowledge needed
  • At least 3 years in a clothing production role, within a High End/Luxury brand.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabric.
  • Excellent Excel & Computer skills.
  • Organised and methodical with strong time management skills.
  • A problem-solver and able to multi task.
  • Strong attention to detail .
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • “Can Do” attitude.
