Job VacancyCommunities & Lifelong Learning team are looking for a trainee who has good administrative skills and is aspiring to work with groups of adults and young people to build their skills for learning life and work. The role requires flexibility to work daytimes and some evenings. This post is subject to PVG Disclosure.
Essential
HNC Working in Communities or equivalent level of qualification relating to work with adults or young people.
Fully competent in use of Microsoft Office suite of software in order to input/analyse data, produce reports and publicity materials. Knowledge of Condeco, Integra and Cognisoft would be advantageous.
Underpinning knowledge and principles of working with groups of young people, families, communities and adults gained through on the job experience

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on you working 36 hours over 39 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £19,617.07 per annum.

This post ranges from a grade 2 - grade 4 depending on experience/qualifications.
Requirements
