The Trust has a thriving research portfolio with new areas being developed each year. We are also sponsoring more studies and, extending the scope of local, national and international collaborative projects.

The Department of Clinical Research has a Clinical Trial Administrator Hub which is led by Lead Clinical Trials Administrator (Lead CTA). The hub team are responsible for ensuring that studies are set up, maintained and closed down in accordance with legislative requirements, and Departmental and Trust Standards as defined by the Trust Research Policy and National Institute for Healthcare Research (NIHR) objectives.

We are now looking for a Clinical Trials Administrator to join the hub team. You will need to have a real eye for detail and be committed to providing a quality administrative service in a busy environment. Some awareness of research and research governance processes and procedures, with knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) would be an advantage, although there is a full and comprehensive induction package in place. In addition, good communication skills are important in this role and the ability to understand and explain complex information clearly, concisely and tactfully is crucial.

There is also a requirement to be familiar with the use of databases and spreadsheets, but specialist research management systems training will be given.
