We are offering an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced psychologist to join NHS Forth Valley’s CAMHS multi-disciplinary service. This is a well established service that works in both inpatient and community settings across Forth Valley and has close links with partner agencies and mental health services. We support children and young people aged from 0to 18 years and their carers/families and offer a range of highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions, including multi-agency input. The Psychology component of the team has been recently restructured and is professionally governed by Psychological Services, NHS Forth Valley and currently delivers services to Core-CAMHS, LAAC, Paediatrics, Neuropsychology and Learning Disabilities.This post is a great opportunity to be part of a developing and expanding psychology Service. The post holder will play a key role in ongoing strategic and service developments and hold a clinical leadership and clinical governance role in relation to a specified clinical area or part of the team.
Candidates must have a Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, be registered with the HCPC and have experience of working with children and young people with complex problems and with partner agencies influencing practice with the aim of improving access to psychological therapies. Experience or training in relation to eating disorders, neuropsychology, early intervention (LIAM), neurodevelopmental disorders or intellectual disabilities would also be an advantage.
We have a varied in-house programme of supervision and CPD and there are opportunities for external training. We also have very good links with national bodies and close links with training courses.
