Job OverviewFull-Time post but part-time hours will also be considered!Base: WellsWe are looking for a psychologist to join our trust and as well as experienced psychologists, we welcome applications of newly (or nearly) qualified candidates who will be supported to pursue a progression route to a 8A role.A key aspect of the clinical leadership in Open Mental Health is provided by Psychologists. As the psychologist in the locality team you will provide direct client assessment, formulations and psychological interventions and therapy. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with other key partners in the alliance to deliver innovative packages to address client’s needs. In addition, you will guide and supervise the work of Assistant Psychologists and Clinical Associate Psychologists who deliver a range of psychological interventions. The post holder will offer clinical supervision, consultancy and advice to staff to inform a client’s care.   • As an HCPC registered psychologist you will work within the community mental health pathways providing psychological assessment, formulation and therapy to adult and older adult patients with complex co-morbid physical and mental and emotional health problems.
  • This will include the provision of highly specialised psychological assessment and interventions, comprehensive risk assessment, supervision and consultation to other team, as well as contributing to team training of staff.
  • The post holder will lead and contribute to service development and evaluation. Liaison with a wide range of partners is central to the role.
  • The post holder will work within a Community Mental Health Service that has challenged the traditional boundaries between primary and secondary care in partnership with Service Users and the Voluntary Sector and Community Enterprise.
