Due to vacancies arising at Bridport Community Hospital on the beautiful West Dorset Coast, an exciting opportunity has arisen for us to be creative with the hours, dependent on the desires of the applicants. We have full or part time band 6 hours for MSK physiotherapy and women’s Health/Pelvic health. Dependent on the experience of the applicant this could be appropriate for a band 5 in need of accelerated training to reach the competencies required of a band 6.

Hours will also be arising at Blandford and Shaftesbury in the North of Dorset within the same specialisms.

Due to a recent successful bid for funding to improve the perinatal health of women, there is a drive within Dorset to increase training and support for Women’s Health Physiotherapists across the different trusts.

MSK in service training occurs monthly, and training courses are often made available across Dorset Healthcare.

Although our individual departments are small, we are forging links across the various departments for training and shadowing opportunities. One of our vacancies has arisen in response to those shadowing opportunities resulting in an FCP role for the individual.
