Band 7/8a Clinical Pharmacist - Southport, MerseysideThe Main Duties Of The Position Are Found BelowHunter Gatherer AHP have a niche opportunity based with a NHS hospital in Southport, Merseyside. The Head of Pharmacy is on the lookout for a ward-experienced pharmacist to join the medical division on a full-time locum basis. The post holder will work clinically to support the delivery of pharmacy services across the trust in order to achieve the best use of relevant medicines.
  • The post holder will assist the Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager in providing clinical training and supervision of other departmental staff on the escalation/rehabilitation medical ward.
  • The role also includes reviewing current practices, procedures and policies in line with professional and government guidelines and implementing and developing medicines optimisation guidelines and policies within patient rehabilitation and frailty
Working hours are 8:30am-5pm w/ a 60 minute break - 7.5 working hours per day, 37.5 hours per week. For the right candidate, flexible days are acceptable depending on how the CV lands with the department - this is a 6 month contract which is likely to extend beyond that. Only GPhC-registered pharmacists with a minimum of 2 years clinical wards experience will be eligible for this position, EMIS secondary care experience is preferable.
