Job OverviewApplications are invited for CT1/2 Level Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology at Musgrove Park Hospital. This post offers an exciting opportunity for trainees potentially interested in pursuing a career in gastroenterology or other related speciality. You will join a cohesive and progressive gastroenterology team with a strong reputation for excellent clinical care and a growing research portfolio. We are looking for dynamic individuals who have completed their Foundation Programme training and have experience of working in the NHS.There is no commitment to out of hours work, the post holder will not be on an on-call rota.12 Month Fixed Term Contract, with possibility to extend.Main duties of the jobYou will work closely with the gastroenterology existing clinical fellows, registrars and consultant team to deliver outpatient and inpatient clinical sessions with a significant amount of dedicated time for research, teaching and service development projects. The expectation is that these will lead to presentations at national and international meetings as well as formal publications.It is anticipated that one third of your time will be spent covering inpatient gastroenterology, one third outpatient / admin and one third available for project work / teaching.Working for our organisationWe are the first NHS trust on the English mainland to have merged our community, mental health and acute hospital services.LocationTaunton is a beautiful area of the South West, located between areas of outstanding natural beauty.
