We are looking for an enthusiastic individual for a nine month Fixed Term/Secondment as a Vascular Nurse Clinical Educator.This role will predominantly be supporting the Firth 2 Nursing team but will also support some training needs in Vascular Angio and Cardiovascular Clinic.This role will provide advice and training solutions, which meet organisational, professional, and individual development needs for staff working within vascular .To provide training and education for Firth 2, Vascular Angio and Cardiovascular clinic, to develop the clinical skills and competencies and ensure mandatory and job specific skills are completed so the team can deliver a high quality service and be responsive to changing needs.The post holder must possess excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills alongside a vision for service development.The post holder will work in close liaison with the Senior Sisters, Matron and Deputy Nurse Director. Ensuring the provision of high quality care within the resources available.To identify training/education needs, design training and development programmes . Delivering training/education to nursing and the multidisciplinary team across Vascular and associated clinical areas.Provide learning opportunities for all grades of nursing staff, including pre-registered Nurses, working within the specialty and evaluate the effectiveness of training.Provide support and guidance for all staff in relation to professional development issues.Act as Master Trainer for in clinical skills, including, basic life support, moving and handling, IV drug administration and simulation.Work flexibly to support the needs of the service in responding to internal and external forces.This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 9 months. Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust’s legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves.
