With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

Job Overview

The post-holder will deliver education learning and development across all disciplines ensuring high quality education is delivered to all staff and students. The post will specifically work within the role as Clinical Educator for the delivery of Women’s health curriculum for Undergraduate Medical students as well as other generic Clinical Educator duties set out in the key result areas.

Main duties of the job
  • Plan and deliver structured and opportunistic teaching in clinical skills for all staff and students as required.
  • Provide clinical teaching to medical students supported by clinical tutors.
  • To design, develop, co-ordinate and deliver programmes of teaching and learning foreducational context.
  • To coordinate placements and clinical experience for medical students by liaisingteaching in the classroom and ward or clinic environment as well as exams.
  • To plan, facilitate and deliver teaching to undergraduate medical students withclinical examination, clinical skills, simulation based teaching and advanced
  • communication skills.
  • patients in the classroom and ward or clinic environment, including history taking,
  • Undertake assessment processes to ensure clinical competencies of students and staff in clinical and simulated environments.
