With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

    This is exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking, creative, enthusiastic and supportive psychology team within this innovative and supportive trust.

    This post provides an opportunity to aspiring clinicians to gain valuable experience which will count towards their professional pathway development, providing the opportunity to work alongside and support qualified psychologists within a clinical health psychology department. The department provides the psychological input into Adult Diabetes, Bariatric surgery, Cardiac, Cancer, Chronic Pain, Palliative Care, Musculoskeletal, Paediatric Diabetes and Stroke.

    Main duties of the job

    The currently advertised post will be helping qualified staff deliver staff support within the Trust in light of Covid-19 and provide an exciting opportunity to be involved at the very beginning of a new service focusing specifically in this area.

    Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

    It is envisaged that the post will involve direct clinical work in addition to supporting the head of department and other senior staff in their work with audits, annual report preparations, compiling data and presenting audit/research results.

    Finally, you will be expected to have a keen interest in clinical health psychology and to demonstrate this eagerness to gain further experience in this area within your application for this post.
