As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, there has been a substantial increase in the number of organisations requesting our expertise. To meet rising volumes, we are seeking to recruit a Clinical Director to join our Operations team.

The role of the Clinical Director is to provide oversight and drive the clinical standards of the business.

Role Responsibilities
  • Clinical oversight of product evaluation.
  • Responsible for point of care sample collection methodology including regulatory requirements for international travel, life after covid requirements and for accessibility.
  • Oversight of Public Health Authority data reporting.
  • Management / oversight of the Positive Reporting Panel to update with any changes to process and Cignpost reporting obligations.
  • Formulate strategies and plans for the clinical department.
  • Advisement of medical and genomic opportunities for life after covid.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards of service and growth.
  • Take responsibility for budgeting and resource planning.
  • Oversight of clinical training to ensure patient quality.
  • Devise strategies and plans for the clinical operations department according to company standards for excellent service and growth.
  • Assume responsibility of budgeting and resourcing.
  • Plan and oversee all patient care operations and programs.
  • Oversight of recruitment standards to ensure department is staffed with qualified personnel.
  • Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards including ISO 15189, ISO 22870 and Care Quality Commission.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Cignpost meets regulatory requirements for sample collection including blood / saliva / Swab - including application for CQC if appropriate.

Job Responsibilities
  • Proven experience as clinical director or other managerial position in related field.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and program management.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing and performance evaluation procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO) and regulations for the clinical field (e.g. CQC).
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer systems (e.g. patient management software).
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts.
  • BSc/BA in clinical administration, medical science, psychology or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to lead small cross functional teams.
  • Ability to pull together individuals from several areas to achieve a goal.
  • Comfortable working at pace and with a degree of ambiguity.
