Salary up to £50,000 per year depending on experience

(Starting Salary banding dependent on relevant qualification and previous Retention Role experience, plus satisfactory completion of up to 3 months’ probationary period) .

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Account Manager you will primarily be making outbound sales calls alongside taking inbound calls, to renew our current customer’s insurance policies.

You will need to be well organised, have a flair for negotiation and an eye for detail when dealing with administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential, along with above average computer skills, and previous insurance experience would be an advantage, although not essential.

You will be required to achieve different types of set targets on a weekly and monthly basis but will manage your own workload and have the freedom to work at a pace to suit, within results-based parameters.

In addition, you will be required to enter data and details relating to the customers business and insurance requirements on to internal systems in a compliant and accurate manner.

Continuous professional development is a key requirement of this role and you will receive, initial and ongoing sales, product, competency and regulatory training in order to perform the role well and in a compliant manner whereby “Treating Customers Fairly” is key.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selling Business Insurance on a renewal or new sales basis to small to medium sized businesses throughout the UK whilst achieving set targets.
  • Keeping accurate records with regards to customer quotes, sales and personal productivity. Preparing client files on internal systems for debiting and ensuring all customer details are accurate before passing to the administration department.
  • Generating leads for new sales business through various suggested marketing methods.
  • Ensuring that all customers are treated with respect at all times and in line with the company’s TCF policy.
  • Accurately performing administrative tasks to deadlines.
  • Attending all in house training as and when required. (This may be outside normalworking hours).

The above indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within the business. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder
