The Role –Cleaning Operative x 30 hours

AM Services Group are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Cleaning Team at our client’s premiere retail destination located in the heart of the Middlesborough town centre.

This is a Permanent role of 30 hours per week The suitable person would need to be available to work 4 days from 7 (which may include weekends on rota) for an 8-hour shift between 7am to 7pm. With the option of gaining overtime to cover holidays and sickness

Duties/Key Responsibilities

The Role involves ; patrolling a busy shopping centre with a trolley ensuring the malls are free from spillages and litter, Cleaning public toilets, emptying bins wiping down fixtures, vacuuming stairs and Cleaning windows.

  • You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team and can work under your own initiative.
  • Provide a cleaning service that is professional and to the highest standards at all times this includes: mopping and vacuuming floors; wiping down touch points, cleaning of toilets and washrooms; and other duties appropriate to the role
  • There is also some outdoor work ensuring that tenant areas are kept clean and that the waste is placed in the onsite skips.
  • Operate cleaning equipment including ride-on machines in accordance with the company’s health and safety procedures.
  • To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
  • Use cleaning materials in accordance with company health and safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that AM Support Services offers an exceptional customer service at the highest standards

Skills Required

  • You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Cleaning experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given on site.
  • Experience with health and safety and COSHH regulations would be an advantage
  • Commitment to Customer Service with good communication skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience and attention to detail in cleaning services and cleaning equipment.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance are important.
