The opportunity

If you’re looking to join a team of like-minded individuals who have a passion for cleaning, then this could be the job for you!

You’ll be maintaining clean and safe environments in our care facility in Devizes in accordance with a set programme of works.

What you’ll be doing

You’ve probably guessed what you’ll be doing, and you’re right; you’ll be cleaning communal areas and Independent Living Services communal areas.

By cleaning, we mean cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping and hoovering as well as some wiping down of the windows internally and external entrance doors amongst other duties.

You’ll work in a pair for the most part, but there’ll be times where you’ll be working in a small group so no two days will be the same.

About you

You’ll have a passion for cleaning and a focus on excellent customer service, as you’ll be working in communal areas, you may see some of our customers from time to time.

You’ll need to be able to work your way around a handheld device which will hold your job information for the day so some basic IT skills will be needed.

You’ll have access to a company vehicle so you’ll need a full, UK driving licence and you’ll be buddied up with someone else from the team so you’ll always have someone to work with but for now, you’ll be riding solo in the van due to current restrictions.

On the odd occasion, you might need to be flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of our customers, so a relaxed, flexible approach is a must.

What’s in it for me

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:

  • Flexible working – whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them and their team

  • Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance

  • Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back

  • Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more

  • We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised thank you and monthly and annual awards.
